The structure oozes character, with its 15th-century origins giving it a unique ambiance. The location provides an authentic village pub experience that many might find charming.
The place definitely shows its age. The stairs leading to the accommodations were in poor condition, with unstable treads raising safety concerns. My room felt cold upon arrival—heating issues led to a damp atmosphere—and the small radiator provided didn’t do the trick. the separate bathroom was outdated, with peeling paint and plumbing quirks that caused hot water shortages whenever another bathroom was used. The kettle facilities were awkwardly low to the ground, making it cumbersome to use. it was disconcerting to find the bathroom accessible to other guests despite being told it was for our exclusive use, which made leaving toiletries there an uncomfortable thought.

One downside was the lack of heating in the rooms. It made the stay a bit chilly at times.
